It was a busy scheduled day yesterday. Currently, my life revolves around various segments like teaching in college, volunteering and musical community.
One grandparent approaches me regarding her grandson's behaviour. She complains to me about his institution's attendance, improper use of time, and unhealthy food habits. This process began a few months ago. We are all connected: the professor, grandparents and the student, i.e., grandson too. Many times, I found the ups and downs in the emotional levels of the grandparent and grandson. Healthy communication is the point which was missing in all those connections. If everything goes well, no need to worry. But in a few cases, an action is needed to overcome the situation. And we all resolved it successfully. A human being trapped in the tendency of "if-then", instead of expressing invariably suppressed thoughts in mind and here bound the confusion, doubts, misunderstanding, etc.
While delivering a lecture in the classroom, getting calls again and again on my cell phone. I refused to pick it as my cell was connected to the Amplifier microphone, and I was explaining an important topic too. The students get a chance to distract effortlessly. But soon they realised my intention was not to distract while studying. At the end of the lecture, explained the importance of concentration and focus while studying by giving many examples of day-to-day life.
What can we say about music? A lot more. Music is an essential, powerful force in daily life for mental well-being, emotional balance, and stress relief by releasing dopamine and lowering cortisol levels. It's truly a universal language connecting people across cultures. In my musical community, I met people from different fields to enjoy and experience happiness. Most-loved song of the day was from the Hindi movie "Hero"..... "Haye Lambi judai Char dino ka pyar o rabba Badi lambi judai, lambi judai Honthon pe aayi meri jaan duhayi… sung by my senior friend Jayshree ben (translated " बिछड़े अभी तो हम बस कल परसो जिऊंगी मैं कैसे इस हाल में बरसो मौत ना आई, तेरी याद क्यों आई, लंबी जुदाई").
